Petfood Forum recently spoke with Ripan Goswami, SQF/HACCP manager with Muenster Milling Co. Ripan was selected as a First For Forum Ambassador for the 2023 event.
First For Forum is a new initiative that offers pet food professionals who have never attended in the past a chance to attend the show at no cost. Through a nomination process, the First For Forum program received over 100 submissions.

What are you looking forward to the most at Petfood Forum?
Ripan: I’m looking forward to meeting and attending some interesting educational sessions by pet food scientists, technical experts and professionals to learn more about pet food innovations, regulatory aspects and consumer insights.
What are you hoping to accomplish at the Petfood Forum?
Ripan: I’d like to come back home with a better understanding of the pet food ingredients, learning about the opportunities and challenges the pet food industry has in today’ world and be able to share all such knowledge with my colleagues at work upon my return.

Are you planning to do anything fun while you’re in Kansas City?
Ripan: Well, the conference itself will be very much fun for me, though if feasible I’ll love to have some fine dining experience with live music in Kansas City.
Tell us a little about yourself:
Hi, my name is Ripan Goswami. I currently work at Muenster Milling Co. as SQF/HACCP manager. I’m very passionate towards every opportunity to develop, improve and maintain high-quality food products and beverages. I have two Masters of Science degrees, one majoring in dairy microbiology and the other in food science & technology. I’ve worked simultaneously in quality assurance, food safety & food science research for about 10 years now. I have always been fascinated about food science applied research studies and its strength for the food scientists to deliver not only detailed knowledge about the food but also the power to innovate wholesome healthy appealing foods. Although I’m always profited by working in the food industry, I believe my knowledge, technical skills, and the ability to understand the perfect blend of research (concept) and production rubrics (commercialization) has helped me become an enthusiastic & successful food science professional. Currently, I’m thrilled to explore the world of animal food science with Muenster Milling Co. and my quest for knowledge on pet food has just begun.
